ISO 9001

ISO (International Organisation for Standardization) is a global network that identifies what international standards are required by business, government and society, develops them in partnership with the sectors that will put them into use, adopts them by transparent procedures based on national input, and delivers them to be implemented worldwide. ISO standards are internationally accepted by the public and private sectors internationally. ISO-a non governmental organization- is a federation of the national standards bodies of over 149 countries, one per country, from all regions of the world. ISO standards contribute to making the development, manufacture supply of products and services more efficient, safer and clean and trade between countries easier and fairer. ISO standards safeguard consumers, and users in general.

The ISO 9000 standard is a Quality Management system. In simple terms this means what the organisation does to enhance customer satisfaction by meeting applicable regulatory requirements and continually to improve performance in this regard.
